(You all remember about a year ago when my grandmother accused me of assault after I tried to stop her from driving after dark on the interstate and threatened to call the police on her. Well, my attorney has been paid off, but he is dodging me, wont even get back in touch with me about how he plans to defend me or what sort of 'evidence' the DA plans to present, and the final court date is very soon. I'm scared, and need real prayers going up for me. I feel like I don't have an attorney and would have been better off w/ a public defender. I paid $700 for a defense, and can't even get the attorney to contact me. I need prayer warriors on my side.)

Please, pray that my attorney contacts me today and honestly discusses my case with me.

Please, pray that by some miracle my attorney talks to the DA and gets the charge dismissed ahead of the court date, so that court will be unnecessary. Yes, they can do that. (That's originally what I was told would happen.)

I still have not talked to my attorney. His paralegal (my uncle) keeps saying that the charge will likely be dismissed. What he is basically saying is that the attorney isn't preparing a defense, because he likely thinks I wont need one. It's not a smart move, and certainly not what I paid the attorney to do: be smart and provide me with a defense. They don't even know what the DA will use for evidence. This is not good. Please, keep praying for the charge to be dismissed without issue. What a crazy situation. Unfortunately, it's a crazy situation that could go very badly for me. It's an ugly thing to be charged with, and I could actually go to prison if found guilty, because I have old misdemeanors. Please, keep praying. I really need your prayers.
