New Open Usergroup: Prayer Team

Postby Pops on Wed Mar 05, 2008 11:29 pm

A New Usergroup has been added that anyone can join: Prayer Team. These members will periodically receive updates on immediate prayer needs. The purpose of this group is to help get urgent prayer needs out to our "Prayer Warriors" as soon as possible.

If you're interested in joining this group, simply click "Usergroups" from the menu bar above, then add yourself as a member! :)

If you have an urgent prayer need and would like to have it sent to the Prayer Team, please send it to me via PM or email at popennell@gmail.com

Thanks!

Great Idea. There are a few times I have had an urgent prayer like someone in the hospital a night with something that you would like to get prayers for and there are times when I am the only one showing as being online.( but if it is late for me you might still be here. I think it is do mostly because a lot of you are in a different time zone and when I am on in the morning you are sleeping, and at 7-9 at night when I am on again it is your dinner time or just getting home from work. Used to be on GP we had lots of people from NY NJ GA NC PA Fl all on at the same time. Now a lot are in Central or Pacific time.
Live so you're neither afraid of tomorrow,
Nor ashamed of yesterday.

Good point Pops. That way if you are away from your computer at the time and Geo or I see the request, we can forward it on to the Prayer Team.

Yes, Barby...pretty much 100% of the time, I check messages right before I go to bed for the night (usually 11 pm my time) so anything that comes in late for most is read by me before turning in. There does seem to be few on later at night for sure.
May God Bless you more than you ever thought possible.
Lots of love,

Somethings I have always been confused about "the prayer team" are:

1-Wwho is on the prayer team? Are you, pops and maggs, the prayer team? Other members of pops forum? People outside of pops forum we dont know?

2-Does the "prayer team" read the prayer and praises?

3-If we have prayer and praises as a forum and are posting our prayers there already, and the members of the "prayer team" are simply you, pops and maggs, or other members here who have the ability to read the prayer and praises forum. what then is the additional purpose of the "prayer team"?

I figured if I am asking these questions in my head, others may be asking them too.

Thanks, Celaine

Similar method to see who's a member.

I say again:

SIMILAR METHOD TO SEE WHO'S ALREADY A MEMBER.

That answered question one (for the second time), in case we're taking notes. Question three is answered by question one because you'll find that there are other members to the prayer team than just Maggs and I.

Question two: Yes, they read the prayer forum, but it's designed so that if you have a request that (for whatever reason) you feel uncomfortable sharing with the whole world, you can send us a request and we can anonymously say that "a member has this prayer need:"

amen Celaine. amen.

My thoughts exactly!!

Dear God,
Please keep Celaine safe from harm and that all is well with her.
...heart, mind, body, and soul.
Please return her to us soon.
amen.
.

To pray with the heart is to pray with love, trust, abandonment, and concentration. Prayer heals human souls. Prayer heals the history of sin. Without prayer, we cannot have an experience of God.
