Please Pray

Postby KimSerenity on Wed Sep 02, 2009 9:57 pm

Hi Friends,

It's been a long time. I continue to have a wonderful job and also work a very nice second job to help make ends meet. My husband, however, has been out of work since November. After a while, I think he's kind of become used to it and discouraged. Please pray for him to be ignited with enthusiasm toward his job search and that something comes along that he will enjoy. I don't care if he doesn't earn what he did before - I just want to see him gainfully employed at something that he's good at and enjoys. That tends to mean a job helping others. He is a good man with so many skills that would help people. To keep his spirits up he's been doing work around the house and also helping others while asking for nothing in return. His reward has been the way in which it makes him feel.

Thank you so much!
Love,
Kim

Kim, I have friends also that are seeking a job and aren't having any success.
I pray that your husband will want to start taking the added weight from you that your having to carry which is caused from worrying.
I pray also that your husband will want to start looking earnestly for a job that will help out with the finances that occurs each month.
It can only strengthen yours and his relationship if he is willing to get a paying job.

Dear God,
Please let him feel the power of the prayers being sent to You so that it will touch him enough to get him out of the house striving to get/find a job that he will enjoy going to each day.
Lord, Please help Kim with her health and heal her aches and pains.
Please let her get plenty of rest when working such long hours.
Please Lord, Let their union be strong and Love surrounding them.
amen.
.

Kim What a pleasrue to come and see that you have been here. I went through all the former members and was looking each one over and wondering how they wre and her you are.
Hope you come and post. We are trying to get all our f amily back. We miss each and every one that isn't with us. Thank you for being here.
I will pray your husband finds a place where he feels so at home and enjoys every day he goes to work.having a job is one thing Having one you like is so much better.
I have a cousin who's wife hates her job. it has made her so bitter no one wants to talk to her. All she does is complain. She has been there 40 years Never looked for anything else because" she says" I am not taking less pay and they pay me well" I would rather take less pay than hate going to work everyday.
They have no children, their home has been paid for for years, money in the bank, never go anywhere Have no friends. What kind of a life is that?? Give me a roof over my head, friends to share my life with, My family near me and the Good Lord near me and I am happy.
Live so you're neither afraid of tomorrow,
Nor ashamed of yesterday.

Kim,
I look at work in this way. I am out of work at present and I hope to find something soon to not only help suppliment household money but to keep my social security in tact. If I fall off in my income, it will go against my final tally when I retire. They count the last 35 years, I believe. So if I let this year go jobless, it will hurt my final amount monthly that I can count on. I pray your husband sees this and is able to find the work that both of you need for your future. Cheers and blessings, Don

Hi there Greywolf.
Those are the kind of issues I'm having now to deal with.
I find it nagging a little bit to much and am trying to Spiritually seek and find Truth to get the strength to enjoy this life I am given.

Update

Postby KimSerenity on Wed Sep 16, 2009 6:59 pm

Thank you, Family, for all of your prayers. My husband has two job interviews coming up over the next two weeks - praise God! The one that he will go to on Friday seems very much "up his alley," and the more that we research it, the more "Steve" it sounds.

I am trying not to get overly excited, but I can't help it. This is not my job interview, it is his, and until he gets all of the details and he and the employer decide whether or not there is a good fit, I need to calm down. Please pray that all of this will work out for the best.

I also ask your prayers for my cousin, who just let me know that she has been unemployed since June. My heart breaks for her - she has been through so much, and is just now able to tell me about it. Please pray that she will find a job suited just for her.

I also ask for your prayers for me - last week I underwent more dental surgery - third time since May. I'm feeling much better and will finish my antibiotics tomorrow, but, wouldn't you know it - there's some nasty viruses circulating and my daughter caught it yesterday. By last night, I had it. I am now at my second job, my part-time, after putting in my day at my full time job. I won't be leaving here until about 12:30 AM and I am wiped out! Please pray for our Lord to give me the ability to get through this, drive home and feel better soon. After all of this time on antibiotics, I didn't think that any germs could live in this body - boy, was I wrong (hah!).

Please take care. I come to the forum whenever I can, just to pray over the prayer requests - more often than not, I'm not able to respond in writing, but the prayers are there.

Love,

Kim
