i don't really like deer meat either, It seems too dry no matter how I fixed it. My son Rick used to try and fool me with his special cooking- inviting me in for dinner. He tried chili, pasta, stew. BBQ's Mac and "beef" grilled, etc I aways knew the difference- But then again mabye it was b ecasue i expected it. I didn have some that a friend did on scewers pieces of marinated deer, with cheery tomaotes, green peppers, onions etc and that was good. Forget offering me any woodchuck, rabbit, etc. i will not try it!

That sounds good Barby-- does that take the "game-y" taste out of it??
My son called and said they are done hunting- they each got their mule deer today so they are going to head back. They are going to stop and see Mount Rushmore on the way home but should be home some time late tomorrow night. I don't like them driving straight thru the night- but they don't listen to me. Please keep them in prayer for a safe trip home.

Maddie, they will be awed at Mt. Rushmore!! I have seen it twice now since marrying Kent (his folks live in S Dakota very close to it. I'll keep them in prayer for their travels home. Let us know when they make it home safe.
May God Bless you more than you ever thought possible.
Lots of love,

I don't remember eating deer meat. .
..if I did, it didn't taste like chicken.

I had always wanted to go to Deadwood at least one time. I've recently given up on that thought.
I am drawn to ghost towns and also the Indian atmosphere, the Civil War, and WWII. :)

I started praying that when I first heard of them needing it. I also pray that your worrys developes into minor concerns until they are able to be desolved completely.

Maddie marinating deer does make it taste so much better. Most people use bottled Italian dressing and leave it in it over night.
