Well, tonight was my first night as a DJ...really my radio show is a talk radio show on a local underground type radio station. My show is a two hour block on Friday evenings. My show's focus is Animal Rights. Tonight, my topic was Elephants, Poaching, and the Ivory Trade. Talking for two hours straight is very draining, but people were listening, so it was worth it. I plan to bring in some music to break the show into segments, because I just can't talk for two hours straight.

Anyway, it's something I'm looking forward to, so if you think about it, please, pray for me to do well with my radio show. I was a bit nervous tonight, so I ask for prayers for my success with my radio show. It is a positive thing to do, and it is good experience as far as putting interesting jobs on my resume.

Local Underground?? I dont get it...meaning alternative? Illegal? I just dont understand what underground means.

It is a collective, so all of the DJs volunteer their time. We all submitted applications to join, were chosen from however many applicants, and etcetera, but it is more of a community service, sort of like a public access tv channel, but on radio. All of the commercials are for positive stuff, and they are done free of charge. Any income goes to buy better equipment. All decisions about the station are made by group vote and etcetera. We do local interest stuff, local music, political stuff, and etcetera.

I'm trying to figure out a topic for my show this week, and I'm very pressed for time, so I'd appreciate your prayers about my show this week.
