Please pray for my son and his buddy. They left tonite to go to Wyoming hunting. They are driving thru the night and till dark tomorrow. Once they get there they are camping and it is supposed to be 5 degrees Sunday night. Please keep them in prayer for a safe trip! lol I just got a text from him- they are in Ohio now---long way to go yet.

Maddie, My Grandaughter rebecca is also in wyoming this week. She lives in Ca. but is there on a work assignment. She is really enjoying sightseeing also. She posted some pictures on facebook a couple of times.

Thank you all for your prayers. He just called me 10 minutes ago---they are about 2 hours from Gillette, which is where they are staying. They said it is really, really cold. They are going to be there for a week too Barby. I doubt they will be near your granddaughter though--they are out in no man's land hunting! Not my idea of vacation!

Tell me about it Maggs! He always has me worrying about him for one reason or another. My husband said I should count my blessings that he is doing this kind of thing instead of drugs or alcohol or whatever. I told him dead is dead if something like that happens. Ugh! I know he is right- but I worry the same.

So please keep him and Jeremy in prayer. Thank you all!

I don't know maddie. Rebecca posted some pictures on face book that she said was way on in the wilderness. with wild animals.
I pray they don't get too cold she was all excited because they were getting snow and she hadn't seen snow she she left washington, DC when she moved to California. She was wehre she told pictures of old Faithful and other gyser.

I'm adding your son and his friend to my prayers. May GOD keep them safe and warm.

My grandaughter was flying back to California last night so she is back out of the snow. Her goal is getting a job in NYC . Can't imagine why. Laast place i would want to live. She loves the exciitment of big cities. Plus if she gets to NY she can take the train to her folks who live just south of DC.

Lol-- Believe it or not-- lots of people love the city. lol It is not for me either though.
My son is still in Wyoming- last Sunday he shot his doe and about 12 minutes later he got his buck. They are antelopes that they were hunting- now they got tags for mule deer. They still didn't get one of those yet.

Maddie, are they brining this meat home and will you be eating some of it.;? One time my neighbor went elk hunting and she said the elk eat sage and that you could taste it in the meat. Maybe so i didn't eat any!

Yes Barby- they took coolers and semi-butchered the meat there and will finish and pack and freeze it when they get home. He tries and usually likes everything he hunts. He also will donate some of the meat.
When he went boar hunting last year he got 2 and brought home the meat- I tried that and it was really good. Tasted pretty much like regular pork. We had boar chops made on the grill. He also made a really good roast. Now I don't know if I will try the antelope (and they are ugly-not the antelopes I was picturing in my head--he told me I was thinking of African antelopes)- I don't like deer no matter how it is made- and thinking that they are relatives- I expect not to like it. I will taste a tiny-itty-bitty little piece for him though. lol
