Prayers needed for Chip

Postby Maggs on Thu Sep 24, 2009 12:43 pm

I got this from the mother of my youngest nephew a little bit ago. Chip is her sisters husband. Please keep him and his wife, Marsha in prayer. He has had prostate cancer in the past but has been doing great after treatment for it. Thank you!!
This was part of an email Marsha sent me. The procedure is tomorrow. Please continue prayers and if you have a prayer request circle of friends add him. We are praying for the biopsy results to be clear of any cancer or other serious disease. Thanks

The doc went over the radiology results with him, and we have a copy of it. It shows lots of enlarged lymph nodes. Statement from radiologist says “most likely this is lymphoma or metastatic adenocarcinoma.” I pray it’s not correct. So -- instead of the needle biopsy, he is going in Friday to remove a lymph node and do a full biopsy on it. Then I guess we’ll get a diagnosis and course of action. Apparently it has no relationship to the prostate cancer.
May God Bless you more than you ever thought possible.
Lots of love,

How sad this man has to go through this I will be praying that everything is going to be ok. May God show the doctors that nothing is showing when they do these tests.

Thank you Barby. Chip and Marsha are wonderful people. We may not be related even through marriage but we are family!
May God Bless you more than you ever thought possible.

I am adding my prayers as well. Nothing is worse than hearing the words "biopsy and cancer". I am praying that they don't find anything abnormal and adding my prayers for Marsha as well.

Well I got one update from my nephew's mom today. It's not the best news. Here is what her sister sent to her.
From Marsha:

Although we won’t have a final formal report until probably Wednesday, it’s lymphoma. Exactly what type, how aggressive, etc., we won’t know until actual biopsy report. So we’ll be going down the chemo trail.

He did just fine in the surgery. It will be difficult to get him to “take it easy for the next 24 hours” as directed.
May God Bless you more than you ever thought possible.

Oh Maggs- I am so sorry to hear that! I will keep Chip-Marsha and the family in my prayers. This is not the news I hope to hear!

Thanks Maddie. I know Sis!!!! It stinks!!! Chip and Marsha are such wonderful upbeat people!! We know our Lord will be with them helping them through this as well as when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years back.
May God Bless you more than you ever thought possible.
