UPDATE: NEED PRAYERS, VERY SERIOUS

Postby elbush on Sun Sep 06, 2009 7:59 pm

Something very terrible has happened, and I need prayers going up for me. I'm trying to find a way to relocate to somewhere else and come up with enough money to get there, live... I really need prayers. Please, pray hard over this for me. Thank you. May GOD bless you.

Father,
I join the others in continued prayer for our sister. Our faith is in You, Lord. We believe that You will keep Erin close and from all harm.
Please show her Father, how wonderful life can be when we rely on you.
Please help Erin's mind to slow down and be able to focus on the things that give her peace. Take all worry from her and allow her to rest Lord.
Please give Erin encouragement and comfort and pour down blessings on her.
Please Lord, help her to walk with You every step of the way.
Please help Erin to do this, Lord, to turn all her hurts and fears over to you, to lay them all on the alter.
Please give her peace of mind Father.
May You Bless Erin with rest as she looks to You for refuge and for strength.
I ask that You bless her with wisdom and courage as she leans on You for all things. In the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
.

I have been praying and thinking long and hard about things, and trying to come up with a plan. What I want to do is spend a year on a monastery, a Buddhist monastery.

Before anyone balks at the idea, please, keep in mind that Buddhists don't worship Buddha; they know that Buddha was just a human being. What they do is think that the guy who was called Buddha was a good person who had good ideas about how to live. Buddhism is really about meditation and living each moment as the kindest, most selfless being you can be. Also, Buddhists don't eat meat, and you all know I have been a strict vegetarian for over twenty years, because I believe in being kind to animals and all living beings. Also, I have practiced meditation on and off for a long time and have a great appreciation for many forms of Buddhist meditation.

I'm asking all of you to pray for me about this. I'd like to go live for a year on a monastery, and yes, they have Buddhist monasteries where just women live, too. They meditate, grow their own food, make their clothes, and all sorts of other good things. I think it's the kind of change I'm looking for, and I've been praying for GOD to show me what I should do.

Please, pray that I find the right monastery and am able to go live there, get my thoughts together...very soon.

Thank you for your prayers, and may GOD bless you.

I just answered your e-mail with my blessings to whatever gets you out of what you are in now. I know if you find it is not according to your beliefs you will back out. Some famous peofple are in groups and they are doing well. No harm in Checking it out. You aren;t the type of person to be lead into something that is not what you thought it was.

I'm trying to find a monastery that will take me on a work study residential basis. Most of them ask for payment, but some don't. Please, keep praying.

Please, pray for me to get some money from somewhere, too. I don't even have a quarter. I'm so desperate.

Most of the monasteries are far away. I'm still waiting to hear back from most of them. The problem is finding one that is in a city and has a residential program that lets you work for room and board. Please, keeping praying that this comes to pass for me very soon.

I'm at the end of my witts right now, because my mother has again told me that I will be homeless on October 15th. I have no money, no job, nowhere to go. She is quite serious, and she just doesn't care. She said ugly things to me tonight until I had a crying breakdown. What can I do? Please, pray that I find a place to stay with friends somewhere. Most of the friends I have around here aren't in a position to help me at all. I'm at the end of my rope. I wish I could go somewhere else now and not ever see or speak to my mother again. Please, pray for me. I'm very desperate. I need a true miracle.

Erin,
I heard it said that until we get our feet into motion, God can't turn us. Once we have begun to move in a certain direction, then God can turn us in the right one. It is near impossible to see the forest for the trees when we are standing in the midst of trouble, but if we could get separated from it somehow then a light might come shining through and the right path might me seen.
Always keep listening for God's voice, not or own or another man's. If we are listening, he will speak. We are told that "His sheep know his voice." If you are his, he will speak, and YOU WILL KNOW IT!

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
"Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at my doorposts.

King James Bible
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

American King James Version
Blessed is the man that hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

American Standard Version
Blessed is the man that heareth me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.

Douay-Rheims Bible
Blessed is the man that heareth me, and that watcheth daily at my gates, and waiteth at the posts of my doors.

Darby Bible Translation
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

English Revised Version
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Webster's Bible Translation
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

World English Bible
Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts.

Young's Literal Translation
O the happiness of the man hearkening to me, To watch at my doors day by day, To watch at the door-posts of my entrance.

Joshua stood outside the door when God spoke to Moses, he heard what was being said. Before we leave the house each morning we need to stand at the threshhold of that new day and listen for his voice. This is a crucial verse in the Christian's walk, having this time alone with God at each day's start.

Blessings,
Don

I pray today that God sends you the message you are waiting for that you find a place to stay that has peace and comfort for you. That your mind and heart will be healed and you again will never have to listen to abuse and negative people. As Don says wait for that voice so you don't miss the messsge he is telling you. God bless you and keep you safe from all harm.
Lord is possible let the place that has an opening for Erin call her today. If if she has to leave some of her belongings behind I know you will provide her with replacements when she needs them Amen

Erin I think that if you find it uncomfortable you will be careful. I know a lot of college students have attended these and stayed with them through college. You can tell if you are in the wrong one by what they teach. I read abaout some on the net yesterday and it seems like some are just a place to clear you mind and devote your thought to nature etc. As DLB says just be careful.
DLB HI HI HI good to see you here. Come back and say hi to us . we miss our friends.
